(I love me some Vampire Weekend.  Day 94…)

If Diane Young won’t change your mind…

She took my brother
And who knows how many others that people thought wouldn’t leave so soon.
I could call her selfish
But that would confirm the hypocrisy in my heart
For being upset it was that person’s time to go.

I want time to marry her
So her last name can change
And she’ll be more inclined to leave affairs for later
Much later.
But she enjoys who she is so much
That she continues to remove people while the springtime of youth still flows through their spirits

She makes a fountain of their lives
Drinking them in to keep herself alive
Diane
I hope you don’t come for me
Until you wed old age.
